I'm not sure if my post went through a few days ago, but anyways I was just wondering if I should ask my teachers to recommend me for AP courses next year? Because, my friend just got recommended for AP US history, and I get better grades than she does and we're in the same class! And it's not only that, I usually get really good grades, so I was wondering if I should just ask my teachers?

do you have to get recommended now?

I would think so

It certainly wouldn’t hurt, and it would show that you’re truly interested in the course.

of course. especially if you have a good reason for wanting to take the AP courses, and especially if that reason’s something that will bring out your passions or talents in casual conversation.

I agree with the above posts. Ask yourself if you are really interested in the course and if your answer is a “duh” and it’s for the right reasons, then perhaps you should ask your teacher.

Interest is always a good motivator.
