I'm applying to a lot of top-tier universities, my top choice being Harvard. Should I restrict my honors/achievements along with my activities to the common app? Would it be silly to add a resume? Also how many activities would you recommend I put on the common app so it doesn't look to colleges like I'm simply racking up a laundry list of activities just to please colleges? Thanks for any help you can give!!

ahhh bumpp i want to know the answer too

To your first part about attaching a resume: Don’t do it. It looks repetitive. To be honest, I’m just one other high school student trying to wade my way through this process of college admissions, but I’ve researched multiple websites and have had the opportunity to talk to several admissions officers, and all of them advise not to attach a resume.

As to your second question about including extracurriculars, well, that’s a question really only you can answer, and it’s impossible to even give an estimate without a list of activities/involvement level. My advice is to include whatever you feel is a major extracurricular, and that differs for different people. Just try to appear genuine; if you haven’t done an extracurricular for the sole purpose of beefing up your activities section and you look at it as a primary extracurricular, then include it.
