Should I attend UVA or Boston College?

I’m deciding between UVA and Boston College. Any advice?

Cost is not a factor? What do you want to major in?

I’m thinking of accounting, finance or economics. I’m from NJ and cost is not a factor.

GMTplus7 I was wondering if you had anymore advice?

A major concern is if u need more diversions than a small city can offer. Charlottesville is a nice college town, with a nice pedestrian mall. Will that be enough off-campus stuff to keep you entertained for 4 years?

UVA is gorgeous and VERY strong academically. However, if you like the big city type of scene, @moooop 's point is good

Thank you. BC seemed a lot like where I’m from as far as the kids that I encountered. UVA is more of an unknown, although I did get a good vibe there. Not sure about the Greek thing.

People who aren’t familiar with Greek life are often surprised how frats/sororities can dominate social life, even if a minority of students are involved. Would probably be good to decide how you’d fit into the whole Greek thing before picking UVA. Not being Greek seems to be a bigger problem for males than females (independent females more welcome at frat parties than independant males, from what I’ve seen.). At BC that sort of caste system simply doesn’t exist.

Thank you
