I was just granted admissions to uva, and I am still waiting to hear from tech, but assuming I’ll be in. I want to go to vet school, so tech may be the obvious choice (tech has a graduate vet school), but I have had my heart set on uva for awhile. My fear with uva is I won’t be able to do well enough to achieve a high enough gpa to get into vet school. I hear the classes can be treacherous. I hate to pass up such an amazing school, but want to go where I will do best and have the best chance for vet school (very competitive). What do you think? In the end, I believe I’ll enjoy my time at either.
in my opinion, UVA is a much more known school from where I’m from and is also considered just as good as any ivy. wherever u end up you will probably love it and fi you don’t you can always transfer! you will never know what you want so just go for it! best of luck
What would you do if you didn’t want to go to Vet School? Do that. Vet School is more competitive than Med School.
Why, exactly, do you think that VT is “easier” than UVA?
After you have been admited to both, if the aid makes both equally affordable, go visit each of them again. Sit on on some classes. Talk with the pre-vet advisor. Check out your alternate career options at the career centers. Then decide. You don’t need to worry just yet. Congtatulations on the admission to UVA!
Whatever you decide, make sure you are 100% in. Nothing lonelier than being a Cavaliers fan in Blacksburg.
