Should I avoid applying as a U.S national?

Well, I am a Pakistani but I also have an American passport. Should I be applying as a Pakistani or an American?

You can’t apply as an international because you are a US citizen.

Period.

And the international pool is ultra competitive — you’d be only hurting yourself. What made you even think differently?

What?
If you are a US citizen you can’t apply as international and why would you want to? It would lower your chances immensely.

And less financial aid at US universities also.

Tarnation -

From your other posts, it looks like you are currently living and studying in the US. Is that true, or will you graduate from a high school in Pakistan?

If you are here, and you are a US citizen, then your application will be evaluated by the standards used to evaluate other graduates of your high school. If you are a recent immigrant and/or have experience living outside the US, that would provide good fodder for any essays that you need to write.
