Should I be really worried??

Alright, well the school year just ended and I have some of my end-of-the-year grades… to preface this, I go to a rigorous private school inthe Midwest and I was just wondering if I should be worried/concerned about the following: A- in Adv.Physics and B in AP US… I was really hoping for the A in Adv. physics and B+ in AP US, but do these half-step grades really matter to the admissions people? or is it the first part of you grade that they care about? Thanks

Dude, you're fine.

chill out, take a deep breath and have a good summer!
You are fine

no, i think you should go jump off a roof now because your life is totally over..... oh my god, you got a B!!!! How could you, you evil person! no college will ever accept you now...............

Oh noes! Is teh B guna ruin j00r transcript, liwwel baby?

If you're aiming for top colleges, the issue will be where it puts you it terms of class rank. At some highly competitive private schools, few A's are given. At others, several are. If several A's were given in these classes, it will effect your chances at top schools.

Oh God....

Sounds like a future drug-addicted, homeless criminal to me. That A minus in advanced physics is really going to kill you, and it is going to be on your PERMANENT RECORD forever!

The most important criteria is difficult curriculum, then gpa/rank, and then standardized test scores. However, after you hit a certain level academically, then the academic record just doesn't have to get any better. Then they look at the EC's and essay in order to make the decision. You want to show "passion" in one or two EC's. Describe your passion in the essay and the activity list should back it up.

However, if you are going to private school with 20 people applying to the same school, your relevant rank within the class will mean a lot. They can't take all 20 applicants.

you should worry about ur 3 in AP Euro.
that really looks bad..

Thanks variance, but i think ur 2.0 GPA looks worse than a 3 considering hsitory's my worst subject, but that's just my opinion and probably the opinion of most ppl on here,, but ooo well..... yea we don't do class rank, so i guess it's okay...thanks!
