I applied early decision to University of Rochester and the other night I had this weird dream that I got accepted. I know that some dreams the opposite usually occurs of what happens in the dream and sometimes what the dream said happens. Do I stand a good chance of being accepted?

Also I've been accepted into Penn State (Engineering) out of state if that would matter

Hey just a little advice,
U of R is a hot ass school, I would so go there if it wasn't in ROCHESTER. Yes, this is truly the worst place ever to live. I don't know if you've visited but it blows. BUT there is a TON of **** to do on campus so I would prolly go there if my parents weren't so close!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & they r dying to have Rochester students go there, they already offered me a $30000/yr scholarship during my JUNIOR yr!!! Otherwise I dont think I could get in!

ANYWAYS Im done rambling, good luck dude! IF YOU GET IN WE CAN PARTY TOGETHER (WHEN I AM HOME VISITING OF COURSE)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Biomedical Engineering is what I applied for...
Just hoping because although the winters can stink, there were so many other pros about that school that made me fall in love with it
One of the biggest things that I like about it is the cluster system... I really like how you can do what you want to do, not take subjects that you have absolutely no interest in

hopkinslax:
You sound like a very likely candidate for U of R. Don't believe stuff kids tell you about Rochester. It is a great town. Winters are really FUN. We have lots of snow (most years) and the city does an excellent job keeping the roads clear. But, the sledding, snowball fights, and snowman making are great. Rochester has a GREAT music scene - if you come, be sure you catch all the great FREE concerts at Eastman. That is in a very fun part of town that has some great music clubs and several wonderful outdoor festivals. Rochester has great places to eat and if you ever move off campus you'll want to check out the Park Avenue neighborhood. It's a happenin' area!

Well, you might end up being a fellow classmate at the U or R. I applied regular decision for BME. I'm pretty comfortable about getting in there, and it's my top choice school. Here are my stats. . . .you beat me w/ your ACT, but I have a lot of extracuriculars. I don't think you have anything to worry about with U of R. I look forward to meeting you if we are indeed going to be classmates. . . .i've heard the BME student faculty ratio is 4:1, so i'm assuming there is a pretty small number of students in BME.

Are you seriously at Lake George in the summers???
My family goes up there every single solitary year during the week of the 4th of July... Maybe you are my long lost twin... :)

I live in Lake George year-round. You have probably seen me if your family goes into the village the week of the 4th. I play saxophone for the village of Lake George on Canada Street, and my season starts on the 4th or 5th of July on every saturday, sunday, and thursday nights. . . depending on what day of the week it falls. This year I started the 5th of July, which happened to also be my B-day.

Well, it is definately a small world. haha. . .you want to go to the same college to major in the same thing. . . and you happen to vacation to my hometown in the summer. weird, but cool.
