should i be scared of not getting into college?

well heres the background info.
i got to this “specialized math science engineering” school and its supposed to be great and all but its new and what not. okay so:

freshman year:
alg 2/trig adv.
physics adv.
geometry adv.
eng. adv.
hist. adv.
span. 1
gym
CAD adv.
comp prog adv.

freshman year i slacked and did nothing. my finals hurt me really bad. i ended up like a 89 gpa.

soph.
precalc adv.
chem adv.
lit adv.
hist. adv.
span. 2
bus. webpage design adv.
cad 2 adv.
gym
science inq. adv.

first two marking periods i did great. 93 --94…then 3rd and 4th i got lazy and did nothing. it dropped to like an 86 , then 4th is probably and 85…now finals screwed me and it might be an 80. so my overall gpa might be an 85 ish…

junior year i plan on NOT slacking and what not. im taking the most rigorous courses and what not. and if i improve junior/senior year…what colleges u guys think i would be good for?

i wanna go into finance. so stern is my top choice. i have a feeling im not gonna get into wharton. any suggestions on any colleges?

<p>You don't have to worry about getting into college. The discussions on CC are about getting into the extremely and very selective schools. As you may imagine, you are not on track for that yet, but you don't sound like a below average student for the general population outside of CC. </p>

<p>Try really hard to do well in junior year. Colleges look at trends. If you do very well in junior year, a lot of what happened in freshman year and sophomore year will be forgiven. Don't stress too much, you are in life for the long haul.</p>
