Applied for Applied Oct 1. App says in Process. Called the admission office today and said it is being evaluated. I thought they are sending decision packets next week. I would have expected to say it is Complete (regardless of decision for admission). On the other hand, they sent me an email regarding Saturday campus tour.

I'm in the exact same boat as you are. Since the deadline has effectively passed and its out of my hands now, I'm not going to worry too much about it. I would say just relax and let the chips fall how they may. I always feel better about stuff when taking that attitude. Case in point: I got all worked up about UMICH not receiving my teacher rec that was sent almost a month before, and the next day it was received.

yeah i'm in the same boat as you guys too, but they're waiting for my Oct. ACT score, so maybe you guys will get the same deal

Thanks, SleepyCrocodile. Hang in there. GSW Fan: they show everything being received (transcript, SAT) in time, but file In process (NOT Completed).

Oh yeah it says the same for mine, but if you tell them that you were sending in something else like a test score or w/e they'll wait for it. that's what the guy told me, anyways. i'm sure it's going to come to a conlusion soon though so don't worry too much. hopefully we'll both get it

Mine changed to "application complete". No email or US mail yet. I also received campus tour invitation.

Hope something will be known soon.

Good Luck to all of us.

One day after mine said complete, I received an email saying I was accepted. You'll probably get something soon.

It got changed to App Complete yesterday (11/3). No email/mail yet. Decision expected by Nov. 7.

Mine said complete when I checked it today, how do you know when your decision is expected pita09?

If your application still says "In Process" you guys shouldn't be so worried. It just means they haven't made a decision yet. You can call them and they'll tell you the same thing.

Last year when I applied, when my application status was changed to "Complete", I got the acceptance letter in the mail about 1-2 weeks later. So I THINK it's safe to assume that if your status is "application complete", you may get a decision soon.

SleepyAlligator, what I understood from the admissions office is that for early deadline folks, decision (admitted or deferred) will be mailed by Nov 7th. I will post the progress here.

yea they have my sat, act, and transcript and my status changed to "application complete" november 3rd. hopefully we'll hear any day now, but I went to their website and they said they don't do admissions decisions via email. They do deferral notices via email and acceptance letters via mail, and apparently no one who applied to the Oct 1 deadline gets rejected.

how do they not do admissions decisions via e-mail but they send deferral notices and acceptance letters, what's not covered by that?

I sent mine in like Sept. 30 and my application just today said complete, still waiting for email or letter though. Also none of my friends have received their decision yet either.

sleepyalligator

my bad for the unclear wording
deferrals are sent via email
acceptance via mail
..at least according to the FAQ on the Georgia Tech admissions website

But this is only for people who applied for the October 1 Deadline
idk how it works for the others

Got my letter in the mail today, got in but no PSP semi.

Congrutulations on your admission, SleepyAlligator. I assume it is your first admission. What major? Thanks for posting.

got mine today as well
no PSP either

Chem E is my major pita09.

Got my letter today (CS major) but no PSP. Does anyone get PSP information with their acceptance?
