Should I be worried?

Hello everyone, I submitted my application for CU Boulder summer 2018, and all of my documents was received around the beginning of January. I know on their website they said notifications will be sent no later than April 1st but it’s been quite some time. I’m just worried if they have rejected me already. Do they send rejection notices if applicant is rejected? Or do they only send out acceptance notices? I just wanna make sure. Thank you! Please give an accurate answer. For other applicants that applied for summer quarter, how long did it take you to receive notices? Thank you! They also haven’t send out notices saying I’m waitlisted so I don’t know what’s taking so long. I applied at another university and the admission notice was sent to me like 3 days after my documents was received. So I’m just not sure what’s with this one taking so long. Is it good, is it bad or what? Lol thanks!

@username123z Sorry you’re feeling anxious about this. Without a doubt, you will receive a message if you’re rejected or accepted. CU Denver/Boulder are huge institutions, so I imagine the number of freshman and transfer applications coming in at the same time could be delaying their reply.

Also, out of curiosity, what was the other university you mentioned?

If you submit all your test scores to CU Boulder by Nov 1st, you will get a faster response than if you wait until January 1st, as they get overwhelmed. Students that can submit 11th grade test scores, and submit everything by September often hear by December or January. Delaying submitting transcripts and test scores, means waiting until April 1st, some years. But if you need your senior year test score to get admitted, just be patient. U of Kansas has a 48 hour policy, they will give students an answer in 48 hours, if they apply by a certain date. U of Colorado does not have any policy like that, but they are quicker, if you get test scores in early.
