Should I bother applying?

I am a rising senior interested in Chemical Engineering and was wondering if you guys could tell me honestly if I have enough of a shot to apply. Here are my stats:

UW GPA: 4.01 (A+ is 4.33)
W GPA: 5.22
Class Rank: 7/200
SAT I: 750 R 780 M 690 W (only took once)
SAT II: 770 Math IIC 720 Chem (these may screw me; retake?)
Course Load: All APs offered except Honors Bio and Honors Spanish IV. Replaced last year's English credit with English at Ohio University (not OSU). Next year taking AP Calculus at high school; Physics, History, and English at OU.
ECs: Varsity Track (4 years) Varsity Golf (4 years) Freshman and JV Basketball (2 years) NHS, Spanish Honors Society. My school offers no math related and only one science related EC (which I have not participated in)

Go ahead and apply if you think it would be a good fit. Your numbers are fine. ECs seem to lack leadership. It would be nice if you could show some science/math related prizes. Just don't get your heart set on admission.

MIT Admissions: The Match Between You And MIT
You might want to read through the blogs on the MIT website to get a better idea of what MIT is looking for. As you can see in the link above they are very interested in your personal qualities such as whether you work well with others. You may be able to show your teamwork qualities through your sports experience.

Can you start some math and science EC's at your school?

Scholastically you seem OK - what about EC's? (Not just math and science, but all EC's.)
