I got a 740 on US History and a 690 on Literature. Should I retake them? I feel like I could do better especially Literature since I didn't prep at all for either of them. The schools I'm planning to apply to so far are William & Mary, University of Rochester, Elon, Emory, UVA, University of Pittsburgh, Yale and Brown possibly. Yale and Brown are my ultimate don't really expect to get into them reaches so I'm undecided if I should bother with them anyway. Every other school on my list doesn't require although UVA and Rochester recommend them.

Maybe redo lit if it’s bugging you and if you have time. It might be the difference for Yale or Brown if you want to be a strong applicant. Then again, maybe not. Do what you think is best!

These aren’t terrible scores but retake literature if you have time to study and prepare.

I definitely want to retake Literature but is 740 good enough for the Ivies?

It depends on the rest of your applications. GPA and SAT in the top range than retaking might make sense. If not don’t.

Thanks for all the help. :)
