I got 800 CR, 720 M, 760(12) W first time, and 770 CR, 760 M, 750(11) W second time, making my HC 2320. (I retook for math). Will this score hold me back from anywhere in any way? If so, I probably will retake. I am applying engineering. Is 760 math not good enough (HYPSMC), if i have 800 SAT Level 2 Math, and 5 BC calc? Any suggestions?

it's REALLY good! you don't need to worry about your scores. now start worrying about essays =D

I agree that you should worry about applications now rather than your SAT's.

Sittin' pretty in my opinion.

your score is fine...

I think you are in range now, especially with the SAT II score and the AP score. Now it's time to work on other aspects of your application file.

Good luck.

I have the same stuff you do - I have a 760 math from the SAT I's and an 800 on the math level 2. Don't retake; chances are your score will fall, rather than rise, and an 800 level two shows that you definitely know math.

even for MIT/Caltech the math won't be a problem?

A 760 Math is like what? 1 or 2 questions wrong. Your scores are fine.

Yeah, no need to worry. Start deciding where you want to go now.

nope. most are by luck in the mid 700s

The college admissions offices know that a 760 means that you only missed, what, 2 questions? They won't care, especially with an 800 math level 2. You've proven that you can do math - MIT and Caltech will understand. (I hope, anyway, cuz I'm sure as hell not retaking the SATs!)^^

A 760 is perfectly fine on SAT I given the 800 on SAT II and the 5 on BC calc - it definitely won't detract from your application to either of these schools.

"Hi, I have basically perfect scores good enough for anywhere. Any suggestions?"

wow, great scores. no need to worry about it.
