Should I Bother Sending SAT Scores?

Hello!

I took the SAT twice–one old and one new version–and scored a 2210 and 1550, respectively. I also took three SAT subject tests, and scored 800 on biology and chemistry, but only a mediocre 760 on the math 2. So I guess I was pretty loyal to CollegeBoard. However, I had to take the ACT as part of a schoolwide testing, and I ended up scoring a 36 (36,36,36,36). Both writing scores are pretty average, with a 6/5/6 and a 9/12, so that doesn’t really make a difference.

I know some colleges require either SAT & Subject Tests OR ACT, so I’m not sure if I should just submit ACT or both. I’m planning on going into biochemistry, if that means something. Will it make a difference in the eyes of elite colleges? And will the fact that I only took the ACT once undermine it as a fluke? Would my SAT score report make me look more or less attractive to colleges?

Thank you in advance!

If budget is not an issue, you should submit both. Particularly for those require or recommend SAT2. Some schools still want SAT2 even with ACT. You have nothing to hide anyway.

I wouldn’t fret over a 760 on Math 2. You may not get in to your desired school, but it won’t be because of that. You only need two scores on subject tests anyway except Georgetown. Some schools require Math 2 for certain curriculums but that would also eliminate your dilemma.

^ That is not entirely true on the SAT2 requirement. Certain programs still wants 3 subject tests such as the integrated science program at Northwestern. Also for home schooled applicants, many schools request additional SAT2 test scores.
