Should I bother to send Subject Tests??

Hello, I’m very conflicted here. I took the SAT II for US History and Literature and made two very different scores (790 US History, 580 Literature). I plan on applying to some Ivy League schools (Brown, Columbia, Yale, Harvard), and would like to know: would it be worth my while to send both scores, just one, or none at all. Also, I applied to schools through Common App and UC Applicarion center and already and said that I PLANNED to take these tests when I sent in my application. If I’m not really satisfied with the scores, do I even need to report them? And for reference, I did not take the SAT. I did Act w/writing and got a 12/12. Is it possible a bad SAT II Literature score can be helped by a good ACT Writing score at all?

Don’t send the 580

Agreed! Don’t send the 580. Ivies don’t want to see that. For all they know, you could have gotten sick and not stuck around to take it. I actually DID get sick at one of my subject test sittings. (My mom used some old pancake mix that morning. True story…) Don’t list it, dude.

I got a 590 on Chem and Math 2 but a 660 on Biology E. I am applying to BU and my other test scores are good. Do you think I would be ok with those?

If they don’t require it, don’t send the 580. Only place you’ll run into a problem is stanford (if you’re thinking about that) since they require you to send all scores

@Econloverguy Stanford changed its policy - it no longer requires all subject test scores (or all SAT1 scores either, for that matter).

Ahh ok wasn’t aware of this, thanks for letting me know @evergreen5
