Should I bother with the ACT?

Hey, I will be applying to some Ivys in january (Harvard, Princeton) and probably Duke ... My SAT as of now is 1450 (760m, 690v) [Im an URM, so i think I still have a chance with that SAT]

However, today i was talking to someone who scored a lot better on the ACT and today is the deadline so i gotta decide now if i wanna wing it (ive never studied/practiced an ACT, i did alot for the SAT)

But ... on the SAT I missed only 1 out of 40 Critical Reading questions and a buncha analogies/sentence completions (my vocab isnt good enough)

I have always thot of myself as strong in math/science and less so in english (mostly due to vocab)

So, could i possibly benefit from taking the ACT? and is the benefit worth it? I have to make this decision tonight :)

What do the Ivys think about ACTs?

Nein. Waste, time, energy etc.

Don't bother, your scores are decent enough

If you really want to see how you'd do, take an ACT practice test. I think yuor SAT score is fine already. :)

No. Take the SAT again.

im afraid to take the SAT again ... I improved 150pts and did better on both sections than I had ever done in a practice before so I dont wanna take my chances again and get another 1380 lol
