hey! im new to this forum and i never got chanced before.
im planning on applying to UPenn ED but im very anxious about my chances. please help out! any input is appreciated

GPA 3.95 unweight, 4.37 weighted
female, asian, New Jersey
sat 700 V 740 M 680 W (retaking it aiming for between 2200 to 2250)
sat ii 800 MI and II C, French 650, history 640 (I know UPenn only looks at 2 top scores which is prob Math and French. is the 650 French have a negative impact?)
pretty average ecs although ive stick to them for a long time now.
i know im definitely going to be majoring in international relations and a minor in polisci or eastern languages

Although you got an 800 on both Math tests, they probably won't count those as your two highest.
When I met with my regional admissions officer, she said they want to see breadth. Eg, a Math and Science, a History and Language, etc.
So they'll probably consider the 800 and 650, which is still pretty good... Those average to 725, which I would guess is about average for Penn's SAT II range.

My brother got into Penn A&S this year (Class of '10) with 3 Cs senior year and 2000 on his SAT I. I am now convinced many of you will get in, too.

Really, it's not that hard to get into UPenn. He wrote a good essay and was very personable in his interview. I mean beside his 3 C's he had all A's and B's so he wasn't a bad student, but he certainly wasn't perfect.

lolabelle.. while reading that studnets like ur brother got in gives me hopes... I personally think u shouldnt generalize that it isnt that hard.. one never knows what happens in the committee... people with perefect sat scores.. stragiht As, president of everything, and with deep, intellectual essay havent got in... what gets u in? I think no one knows...
