I mailed my application on Nov. 1, and I have received no email from Princeton. Should I call them tomorrow?

I'm worried that my app either got lost or that they tried to email me but my mail server was down so the message got bounced back... Ugh, that's maybe what I get for having my mail sent to my own domain.

yep... i got the 'opened a file for you' thing.. but i didnt get the 'application complete' thing.. i've used the pton online app and submitted it on oct 31..

I'd say wait at least till the PIN system's up. It's weird that they haven't logged your paper mail for so long, but probably they didn't have a file to log it to until the 31st, so they just put it aside until they have your online app in. Therefore it's natural that you haven't gotten a response yet. Think about it, Pton needs to open ~2000 envelopes for ED. Even if they open 200 envelopes a day (about 1 envelope every 7 minutes), they would just have about gotten everyone's open by now -- not to mention all the logging and organizing and sorting that goes on.

I'm only calling if I don't get a confirmation by Thanksgiving...meh.

Oh happy day, I got an email saying that my application arrived. Now I just have to hope that my teacher sent my rec. (I sent the other rec personally).

i have not gotten anything through the mail or through e-mail...and I applied through the mail (tracked by fed ex)...is my application lost? HELP ME!!!....also I am unable to register to look up the status of my app

I already called up the admissions office and they said to keep checking back...and they weren't very helpful...also most of you have found out online....is that because I applied through the mail?...

I sent my application via USPS, and I believe my teacher did the same. My teacher rec #2 is still missing, but the teacher said that he can fax or mail them a copy if necessary. I'm going to wait until Monday, and if there's still a problem Monday morning at 10AM EST, I'll email them.
