Should I cancel my scores ? plz read.

I took the ACT today, and didnt think it was hard. I just ran out of time in every section except writing. I guessed like 15 questions in each section and I'm not expecting to get more than a 20. I dont really want to cancel my scores, I would like to find out how I did . The thing is that I'm going to apply to some colleges that are competitive and I don't want them to think I'm stupid. Do colleges really care if you get like a 16 and then raise it to a 30? I'm gonna study the whole summer to bring my scores up.

What should I do? Cancel them or just wait until they are scored and retake it?
THANKS!

If you really truly think you can get a 30 and you just got in the 16 range, then I’d cancel.

^^unless you already sent the scores to certain schools, there is absolutely no reason to cancel…ACT gives you the option of sending whatever dates you want…why not have a benchmark to go forward with your prep? nobody ever needs to see this test…

really? so there’s no way for colleges to know that I decided not to report this test?
Thanks for you answer!

justcheck with your high school and make sure the scores are not on your transcript…

Don’t cancel; you can always retake and most colleges only consider your highest composite score.
