Hi,
Last I took three sat2s last sat.: writing, math 2C and physics, but the testing conditions were horrible...first they made us wait for 1:15 minutes. Then, they send us to the wrong room, so we had to change tests after we started filling in information. Furthermore, the school had music auditions so we had to listen to a huge orchestra, and even though some ppl might like classical music during an SAT, I do not.

Nevertheless, the writing and IIC went well untill I started having horrible stomach pains. So I had to leave the last 3-4 q's blank. Then, for physics, it got worst, and I couldn't even answer more than 10 questions when I decided I had to leave. So I don't see how it is possible that I will get higher than a 350.

Now I don't know what to do. Should I cancel? I don't want to cancel my writing and maths, but would colleges view my physics as a total failure? Furthermore, when we send our SAT scores, can we send it so I only send SAT2s to some colleges? or is it one paper with EVERYTHING on it?

I would call the College Board and complain in your case. If everything you say is true, it seems the testing conditions were COMPLETELY unfair. They should know that the school is inept enough to schedule an orchestra audition during testing day. You should at least get your money back.

Also, when you send in your scores, they send in every score you have ever gotten. So they send in your 1st SAT scores, your second, etc., then your SAT II scores from all of the tests you have taken... all on the same sheet.

I think if you send a letter of explaination to colleges--I mean, I don't think many people TRY and get a 350, so when they see that they will at least know something is up--and that should suffice. I wouldn't cancel if I were you. And of course, take the tests again if at all possible.

my friend messed up his grid on the writing section, and my guidance counselor sent in a letter explaining what happened....id complain to collegeboard, but don't mention your stomache...they wouldnt make a special case and cancel one score because of that.

Wow that's almost exactly what happened to me. It's a tough decision.

I took the SATII Math IIC first, omitted about 5 questions, but felt very confident. Physics, I had a nosebleed and left a lot of questions blank. I decided NOT to cancel and live with the bad score.

Math: 750 (good)
Physics: 630 (could be worse)

I'm glad I didn't cancel. If you think you did well on the others SAVE them, don't cancel, and retake physics if you really feel you need to. No need retaking all of them if only one was a problem. One low won't kill you - especially if you retake they'll take the higher one. It annoys me since I'm applying to Ivies, having 2 solid scores (above 700) and this 630. But oh well, I'd NEVER retake them.
