Should I change my major?

<p>My top school choice is Penn State. I live in CT. 3.52 UW GPA. 1940 on the SATs. I have taken Honors English 1, Honors English 2, AP English 3, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, Honors Physics, Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra 2. Senior year I will be taking AP English 4, AP Physics, Honors Govt/Economics, and Honors Spanish 4. Received a 5 on AP English 3 exam. I've done drama club, student council, VP of multicultural club, business club, journalism club, ambassadors, NHS, and i was chair of the blood drive this year. Ranked 21 out of 116 in my class (not good, i know) and go to a Catholic High School. I am Haitian American and first generation. Ive done 75 hours of community service throughout high school. </p>

<p>I plan on majoring in Business, but I know that Penn State Smeal is almost impossible to get into. I sent in my application but now I am worried and I think I should change my major to get in and maybe switch into it later?</p>

<p>What math are you taking this year? Penn State wants to see another year beyond Algebra 2, especially for Smeal. Unfortunately, Penn State doesn’t care about EC’s, they are numbers driven.</p>

<p>Also, what’s your weighted gpa? Did you indicate on the app that you’d be willing to start in the summer?..that does make a difference.</p>

<p>I’m taking Trig/Pre-Calc this year. And I didn’t, but maybe I should add that in now?</p>
