Should I change my Satanic-sounding e-mail address?

For the sake of keeping my e-mail address undisclosed, I'm just going to say that it includes "6666" after the first several characters. If a college that I am applying to sees my e-mail address and gets the impression that I meant to end it with "666", will that affect my application at all?

I don’t really think it matters but just to be safe, i would suggest creating a new email with your first and last name included.

i highly doubt it! nothing to worry about :)

Time to change it and choose something neutral.
Just noticed your CC username…stay away from both Satanic names and atomic bomb names.

Although I doubt colleges would look too much into it, I prefer to have a somewhat “professional” sounding e-mail that I use solely for college and school purposes. That way I can keep track of all of my important e-mails without having to sift through spam, personal e-mails, and other junk.

Something like “johnsmith92” always works.

I highly doubt that would come across admission officers’ minds but why take a chance. It’s better to have a generic, simple, and professional e-mail address anyway so why not use this as an excuse to change your e-mail now. I doubt they’re so eager to admit SoccerUnicornGirl6666  . Not to say that is your e-mail but you get the point. firstnamelastname or lastnamefirstname should be adequate.

If you have to ask, then you already know the answer!!!
