I spent this summer looking at some competitive colleges and all of them said they look at the courses I have taken. I take honors classes and had one AP last year and will have one this year. Now I wish I took more but at the time it made sense.
Right now my schedule has an AP math, honors math, honors science, honors English and honors religion (required).
I am thinking about adding an honors social studies class and maybe an online AP class. Is this necessary or am I overthinking it?
Too little information given to assist you. Which honors math? Which honors science? What other AP’s are available to you? What colleges are you targeting?
Honors stat (ap isn’t offered) honors physics (could take ap, but extremely hard class + zero knowledge of physics) I could take AP English, euro, or bio but I’m not interested in those subjects so I thought, “why spend a lot my time on those subjects if I’m not going to continue them in college?” That’s why I thought online would be better because even though it would be challenging it would not take up as much of my time as other APs.
The schools I’m applying to have an acceptance rate of 14%-30% so I thought I might need a better senior schedule.
