well there is this finals test and if i don't pass it i dont graduate from this program im in i am thinking about just taking my ipod touch and writing the answers in side of the notes i did this last time and got 100percent but that was on a quiz so i dont know how serious they are about actual tests i figure i will try to cheat tomorrow and if that doesnt work out i will just say i need more time and hope to get put in a room by myself if that doesnt work i will take the retest and try to study the thing is its geography and we have to memorize like 100 different points and i have super duper bad memory if it was anything else i wouldnt cheat but this is the one thing that seems impossible for me

Oh, definitely cheat.

go ahead, you won’t feel guilty at all.

haha, I guess the general consensus is to cheat. HAVE FUN!
Never cheated while in high school… at least not on a test or quiz.

im not in hs this is like a summer program if i pass i get half a credit though

100 things to memorize. rofl how is that hard to do? You have a whole night.

its called sarcasm. seriously, you won’t regret it at all? and after all if its not in hs and just a summer program, give it your best, why cheat? i’m taking a physics course right now, and i’m completely lost and have a final on monday. i know absolutely nothing, and despite my hours of studying i know i won’t do well. but i still won’t cheat ;] punched in my adivce. its up to you now

100 things can take awhile to memorize… I say 2 and a half hours.

there’s this thing called punctuation.

maybe for you but like i said my memory is crap please enlighten me how do you memorize a hundred things in 2 hours

nastynate, I think he uses his iPod touch. While it is rather annoying, it is also remotely impressive. Because I can’t type on my iTouch to save my life. I’m a failure as a human; I can’t make use of our opposable thumbs. haha.

Hims, you might not want to take the time to do this, but I find flashcard very very very helpful.

Study tips: Flashcards are a great way to memorize things efficiently, but sometimes understanding is the other best route to go; though in this case hardcore memorization sounds best.

Cheating:
If you 're cool with that then cheat. It’s not justifiable, but if achieving this goal means that much to you then you really can’t be stopped. So…

Wow, cheating on tests/quizzes is just low IMO. Put in all the effort you can and be satisfied that you did everything you could. Maybe you should get off CC and actually start memorizing.

Memorize all of it tonight. Don’t try, just do it. If you have the attitude that you might need to cheat, you won’t memorize it. Just stay up a few extra hours tonight and study your ass off. Trust me, you won’t regret it. Good luck :)

What subject(s) are you going to be tested on? If it’s conceptual, then just stay up a few hours late and reread everything. If it’s something like history, then flashcards or reading will suffice. Like tikiman said, don’t go into studying with the intention of cheating on the test anyways. You really won’t gain anything out of it.

If you’re a Mac user, this app is brilliant for memorizing things: [jrc Software: Genius](http://web.mac.com/jrc/Genius/). I guarantee that you can memorize anything with this (kind of short-term-memory-only though if you don’t actively reinforce the knowledge. It’s ultimately your decision whether to cheat, but I know I wouldn’t.

Flashcards.

Take a group of 5, memorize.

Take another group of 5, memorize.

Put the 2 groups together, check your memory (go through the 10 until you’ve memorized them again).

Repeat Steps 1-3

Take the 20 you’ve memorized, check your memory.

Repeat Steps 1-5

Take the 40 you’ve memorized, check your memory.

Repeat Steps 1-7

Repeat Steps 1-5.

Take the 100 you’ve now memorized and check your memory. If you remember a card, put it to the side; if you don’t, leave it in the deck. Repeat until you’re through all the cards.

Repeat Step 10 2 or 3 times until confident.

Don’t study again that day.

After waking up the next day repeat Step 10 2 or 3 times.

If you have time, do Step 10 except with the cards backward.

Making 100 flashcards can take awhile. Make sure to use half of a 3x5 card for each - DON’T WASTE CARDS.

Don’t cheat- it makes you feel like a dog is digesting your entrails- and I speak from experience.

Maybe he ate his conscience.

I for one, have the most annoying conscience ever. I wouldn’t cheat, but it’s ultimately your choice.

Just like a bunch of CCers to attempt to sabotage this student by dissuading him from cheating. OP: My reply contains the only advice of substance in this thread. oh, and desi_chick’s too. Seriously, take our advice and run. Do yourself a favor and cheat on the damn test. Think HYPS, HYPS, HYPS. Capiche?
