Should I contact them??????????

Hi,
I was waitlisted at UF and, considering the fact the the admissions rate was more strict than ever this year, I am not sure I will be chosen from the large waitlisted pool. The problem is that I only applied to two universities, the other being stony brook. Honestly, if I had applied to various universities, like most did, I would probably have more options, but I have to make a decision prompty before housing at stony brook is fully occupied and start making plans. SO, should i contact the admission officers and ask them whether or not I have a good chance at getting in? Also, does anyone know if they are capable of, or allowed to, inform me of my odds at this early moment???

Any comment is appreciated...

Bbbuummmppp....

any ideas/ opinions?

you're probably gonna have to wait more than 10 minutes to get an answer. be patient.

i don't really have an answer for you... i don't see how calling will hurt you, but they'll probably just tell you they don't know or that everyone has an equal chance. I don't you'll get a real answer out of them.

I suggest you send in your deposit to Stony Brook. If you end up getting into FU, you can go there. Worst case scenerio you're out a couple hundred bucks.

Agree with Pongo.

Send in your housing stuff to Stony Brook. Then, if you get off the waitlist at UF, go there. Just cover your bases.
