Should I continue what I hate?

To you, it might seem like a simple question, no you should quit. But I've been consistent for a year with folding paper, doing the work no one else wants to do. I've realized I've been doing it to impress colleges in the future. But I'm not passionate about it. I'm sitting there, and folding letters. Would I still look "strong" if I pursused a different extracurricular, and left this one? I mean wouldn't it look good '3 years of A' over '2 years of B', but in an essay I make it seem like A was more important to me, over B. I know it might sound devious, but this is a game to be played...

Good God. This question has already come up once today! You only live once. Don’t waste it trying to look good on paper.

I don’t mean to come off as rash, but do you hear what you’re saying? If you hate it, quit.

But I’ll admit that it’s nice to see a fellow Seattleite here on the boards :)

Just know you’re still not guaranteed a spot with 3 years of A instead of 2 years of B.

If your EC doesn’t involve a state/national award or leadership, it won’t help your app enough to justify continuing it for the sake of college.

What ChoklitRain said. Really, quit.
