Should I do Algebra II/Trigonometry during the summer?

I have already completed Algebra I (A in both semesters), 1 semester of Geometry (A-, 1% away from an A), and I'm on my way on finishing my second semester of Geometry (currently, I have an A+). I was going to continue next year with Algebra II/Trigonometry, then Pre-Calculus Honors (the honors course expects you to be good in Trigonometry) and finally, AP Calculus BC. However, due to many of my friends/classmates telling me that Algebra II/Trig is an easy class, I'm thinking of doing Algebra II with Trigonometry (they're taught in the same class) over the summer. The course will be taught for 27 days for 6 hours (4 hours and 45 minutes of which will be the actual class time, while the rest are breaks) Monday-Friday. I just need other people's opinions of whether I should take the course over the summer or not. I think I'm good with Algebra, considering that out of 26 students, I was 1 out of the 3 people that passed the High School Exit Exam for Algebra I in my class. If I do do Algebra II/Trigonometry over the summer, next year, I have the option to either do Pre-Calculus (if I feel like I'm struggling) or Pre-Calculus Honors (if I feel like I'm not struggling). If I do Pre-Calculus, then I only have the option to take AP Calculus AB (which I don't want to). However, if I do Pre-Calculus Honors, I have the option to do AP Calculus BC and then another math AP class in the year after that. Also, if it helps, I live in the state of California. So what's your opinion?

Most people took Geometry in the summer.
How fast are you in understanding math concepts?
You need to find where(private high schools) you can take the class(you will pay) and where your high school will accept the class for credit (with approval from from your hs/school district).
Better be quick spots get filled fast.
Closely read the number of absences policy… 2 absences and you did not get credit, no exceptions.

Well the program is actually at my school during the summer, I talked to the my counselor about it and he said that it would be fine if I did it, but I need more opinions.

Do it.
Ask him to reserve you a place.
You can always cancel if you change your mind.
You can do anything for 27 days.
You’ll have more options later, math wise.

Well the summer program isn’t actually from our district so the counselor can’t reserve spots or anything. Here’s the website btw: [Math Enrichment Summer Program](http://www.mathenrichment.net/index.html)

I took 2Trig over the summer, and now am enrolled in PreCalc. Honors. I think it was fine. and you should do it!

A2/T is very easy and straightforward.

Pre-calc (honors or not) is a joke–at least at my school. BC is not that hard if you’re good at math.

I note from the summer program website:

DO IT FOR THE IPADS.

Wish our school used iPads :(.

$900 for the one course!
It will prepare you for the math placement test to test up to the next math sequence, if you bomb the test, too bad…
You have to make an A or B on the class to be able to take the placement test.
$900, you got the cash?
Your gc says it is an approved program to give you credit for a full year of hs math on your transcript?

Well it seems like there are no more replies. Thank you guys for the responses!
