Hey guys! So I was recently admitted into UCSB and when I got my acceptance in the mail there was this brochure explaining their freshman early start program. It looks like something I would like a lot, but I want other people's opinions on it first. I would have to dorm in San Nicolas and at the moment my top choice for dorms is Anacapa and Santa Rosa. Is San Nicolas a lot different than the other two dorms? And also, how is FSSP? Would it be worth it to go six weeks early? Any input would be awesome! Thanks!(:

My S did FSSP last year and loved it. I think it was well worth it, he is still doing great and loving UCSB. It is a very good way to get to know the campus without it being swarming with students. He had fun with the academics, too, and getting the extra credits was a nice way to start college.

Im poor, too expensive :(

Don’t be so sure, I think financial aid covers this if you are eligible, it is certainly worth looking into. It is actually a great deal for out-of-staters, tuition is set at the in-state level for this session, or at least it was last year.

Okay cool! Thank you for your advice. I have already applied, and was admitted so I will definitely be doing it!(:
