Hello! I recently got accepted as a College Prep Scholar (hoping I get to be a Finalist next year! fingers crossed) and am looking into doing the National College Match. I know that I am going to apply to Stanford because it is my #1 school, but I’m debating whether to apply through the Questbridge National College Match or Stanford REA.
I’ve seen that REA has a higher acceptance chance but a bit scared about the early rejection. With that being said, I know I’d get two chances through the National College Match. What do y’all think? Thank you!!
Why would you not do the college match program, as you are not eliminated from a second review, and you have a high (reasonable) concern about being in the REA pool.
Of course, you could always be deferred during REA and then have the exact same opportunity at a second review during the RA period.
What is stopping you from making the decision for the National College Match?
Wouldn’t applying through QB NCM with Stanford ranked first and your second, third, etc. choices also ranked give you the best chance of early admission to one of your top choices (assuming that they are in QB’s list of colleges)?
