Should I do this?

I'm trying to have a pretty laid back Senior year while still remaining competitive with AP courses. I don't want to do anything that could potentially hurt my GPA but I also don't want to look like a slacker.

I'm currently signed up for:
AP English Lit
AP Pol. and Gov
AP Calculus AB
AP Psychology
Marine Biology/Ecology Honors
Latin IV Honors
AP Math Study Group (basically, a study hall that gives us credit)

I was thinking of dropping AP Psychology and taking Ceramics (a "joke" art class, and a really easy A+) -- but would that be obvious? Would it be easier just to take AP Psych? AP Psych is notoriously easy at our school and I could probably do almost as well there and get the GPA boost of an AP class... but there is quite a bit of notes and memorization, while ceramics is more mindless clay molding.

I would take AP Psychology. It looks better when applying to college

^^ Seconded. They’re both easy classes. You don’t seem to really want to take Ceramics for any reason other than it being an easy class; I’m going to assume you don’t want to do pottery in college, so there really would be no point in you taking it. If you actually liked ceramics it would be a different story.
And…lol AP Math Study Group? I don’t even

You think clay molding is more mindless than note-taking and memorization?

LOL, yeah… we have different “AP studies” as they’re referred to - AP History Study Group, AP English Study Group, etc… we actually get a credit for them towards graduation despite the fact that we’re not graded.

Yeah, I have really no interest in Ceramics. I imagine it will be a fun class and all but my only motivation for even considering it is that it’ll be a cake walk.

Replace the study group with ceramics.

If you were actually interested in Ceramics, I would definitely suggest taking it.
Otherwise, take AP Psych.

take art instead

Take the one you’re more interested in.
I thought AP Psych was without a doubt one of the most interesting classes I’ve ever taken.
You never know. You might like it.

Take Ceramics in place of "AP Math Study Group " (if you can)

Personally, I’d swap out marine biology for ceramics. At my school Marine biology is a HUGE joke and unless you’re uber interested in it, you should probably take a more fun and equally simplistic class that you’ll like. AP Psych is pretty fun from what I’ve heard
