Should I do Yale SCEA or Dartmouth ED? Chance if you like breathing.

Alright, I'm planning on applying to either Yale SCEA or Dartmouth ED. Chance me for both.

---Race:
Asian

---Class Rank:
Top 10% (we go by deciles)

---Rigor:
Honors/AP Classes - Freshman year(5/7 classes), Sophomore Year(6/7 classes), Junior Year(5/7 classes), Senior Year (5/6 classes)

The regular classes are required classes like health and PE.
The AP classes are AP Statistics, AP Language and Composition, AP Psychology, AP US History, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, and AP Literature and Composition.

---Test scores:
I made a 36 composite on the ACT. That's a PERFECT SCORE. I haven't taken the SAT. SAT Subject Tests aren't immediately required for Dartmouth ED. I'll take them in December.

---ECs:
I have established a new detention/behavior problem program at my school for kids who get in trouble. This has been implemented.
I founded and run my own business.
I have a 30 hour/week business internship at a local startup.
I am President of DECA Business/Marketing club.
I founded a club which encourages direct involvement with world hunger.

---Stuff which I was good at but not all that great at:
I was a finalist several times in Speech and Debate. I was very close to qualifying for state in two separate events.
I ran cross country for 3 years. I won a few races.

What’s the business you have?

And thanks for letting us know that a 36 ACT is full score. I wasn’t aware of that before, but now I know. I think a lot of the people here do not know that a 36 is the highest ACT score as well, and I’m sure a lot of people will find it really helpful. I guess I learn something new every day.

calm down JamesChang, stop pmsing over the 36 ACT.

I can’t decide if this is a ■■■■■ or not

@James Chang
If you weren’t going to post anything remotely helpful, why did you even bother posting? Honestly, is your time worth nothing?

@Djokovic and jamesford
Chances?

@ nizzle927 in post #5, why did you even bother posting that unhelpful message?

Anyhow, you should not apply SCEA to Yale if you don’t plan to take the Subject Tests until December; you would not fulfill the application requirements.

I don’t get it.

I asked a question about his extracurricular (asking what the business that he started was) and my second statement was totally serious. I didn’t take the ACT yet and was planning on it; I hadn’t fully done my research on it yet.

dartmouth, you don’t have a good shot at yale, too risky I’d say

I really got a good laugh out of JamesChang comments. Anyways, you have a really good shot at dartmouth ED.
