Should I dress up for an interview ?

I have applied to several jobs and two of them answered. One is in a lab setting, so I doubt that I need to dress up, but the other one is a clerk-type job in a clinical setting such as the hospital. Do you think I should dress up for that interview ?

I’m sure it couldn’t hurt.

My say is to dress how you would come to work for them so they get an accurate picture of you.

In my opinion, you should suit up or at the very least wear a collared dress shirt and some nice slacks. I think you should dress nicer than how you would come to work for them to show them you are serious about getting the job. If I was interviewing for a job at McDonald’s I would still probably wear a dress shirt and nice pants, so I mean I don’t think it totally matters where you’re interviewing.

I agree. The interviewer doesn’t have a lot of time to get to know you, and dressing up is a way to show the interviewer that you’re serious about getting the job. Even if people stick to casual in that particular workplace, it doesn’t hurt to dress nicely for an interview.

If you really want the job you should come in nekked

^Worked for my last 3 jobs.
