Should I drop a class and take a "W" on my transcript? How bad would it look?

<p>Right now I’ve got 6 classes, all "A"s except a “D” in my math class because i had a horrible start… If i dropped it and took a W, i’d end up with a 4.2 gpa which would average my overall gpa to 3.7, but how bad would UCs look down on this? If i dropped the class, i would end up taking it in senior year, and i would still have taken 4 years of math, as i took one in summer school.</p>

<p>I’m also considering in majoring in nursing, if it helps with anything.</p>

<p>A "W" just tells us that you did not complete the course. There is no negative impact besides not completing the course.</p>

<p>But wouldn't admissions look down at my transcript for dropping the class? I mean, I'd end up with just 5 classes...</p>
