Should I drop a class?

This is my first semester senior year schedule: ap economics, ap physics, ap spanish, yearbook (i'm an editor), teacher aide for drama (I'm a thespian so it's just continuing my involvement) and a directed study on neuroscience, plus cross country, several clubs, charity involvement, and a job.

Since I do not have a lit credit on my first semester transcript (even though I don't need one), I am thinking about taking it online as a 7th class although I think it would be very tough because of my very busy schedule.

The thing is, because I got a 5 on ap lang last year, all I only need to take a semester of community college lit 2nd semester to graduate. I have a 4.0 and a 34 on my ACT, so will it look bad to colleges if I do not have a lit credit on my first-semester transcript? Should I just take the extra class online? I am looking at schools such as BU and Vanderbilt.

no. you’ll be fine. One semester college work usually equals one year high school work equivalence.

You should be fine for those schools. Just be sure to specify when applying that you will be taking a CC literature class second semester, so they know you are not just dropping english altogether
