Part of me feels like becoming a speech language pathologist, but I don't feel like it because I can't stand science.

Why do you want to be a speech language pathologist? Perhaps, you could find a career that also fulfills the desire you have to be a SLP but requires less science. Perhaps, counseling or something similar?

How much science would you have to take? And how much would you have to be used regularly on the job? Maybe it’s not as much science, as you think it is. Or maybe, it’s something you just have to power through in school, but later, you likely won’t be using it on a regular basis when you’re on the job. It could just be the coursework you’re not interested in, but the grand scheme of things, the time you’re spend in college and grad school isn’t really that long. If this is what you really want to pursue, then you might have to just suck it up and do it.

Do you hate science because you had a bad experience in high school or with one particular teacher or is it something about the subject that you don’t like? If you just had bad experiences in high school, it might get better in college courses, if you can find better professors.

Which sciences are you opposed to (chemistry, biology, physics, etc)? All of the science subjects are very different, and it’s okay to like some and to hate others. My understanding is that you would be focusing on classes involving language and audiology. If you really love speech language pathology, then perhaps these courses would be of more interest to you than the more introductory science courses, like general biology or physics.

I am deadly afraid of biology. I had a bad experience in my junior year and ended up being depressed. I failed IB Biology, and the idea of science just scares me.
I like what speech language pathologist do. I might want to work with children or adults. I definitely want to become fluent in sign langue.
My biology teacher made me hate science sooo much. No matter how much I studied I failed.

Now I feel like avoiding science completely.
Now Biology science scares me to death.

Most colleges require you take a general biology course as part of your general education curriculum. Take one before you decide you hate biology.

Audiology and Speech Sciences undergrad major (and Masters in Audiology)

I don’t recall too many tough sciences that were required. Physics and Anatomy and Physiology stand out to me. I took Bio freshmen year as I was a bio major (chem made me change my major!!). I took Physics over the summer so it would be easier and less stress as it was the only summer course I took. You can do that or take it at a CC over the summer as well as the other hard core sciences you may need. I don’t think there will be more than a few. By the way, bio should be very interesting. Sorry for your bad experience. See if you can take that at a CC as well.
