hey guys, im currently a junior in a very very hard AP english class. here's how hard it is: the teacher hasn't given an A in two years! no joke.

soo...im moving to europe this summer and they won't have any class ranks there (which is why i took this class in the first place to see if i could somehow get an A and get my rank up at the current school). i decided to take the class before i knew that I was moving. now im struggling to keep up a B+ and i really need an A for my UW average.

should i drop down to pre-ap after the semester ends in march to get the guaranteed A on a 4.0 scale? the class is very easy and i've gotten all A's in pre-ap english classes so far.

anyway, if i do drop, how would this affect college admissions? i appreciate your help and thanks!

Personally... I would stick with it. Just from what I've heard, a high B in an AP class looks better than an A in a lower class just because it shows that you're willing to work hard even if you don't always get the best grades.

Just my opinion. It's really entirely up to you. Just think about if you might potentially be bored in the lower leveled class, even if it is an easy A for you.

Your semester ends in march? wow that's late. but my suggestion is you stick with the class, because a B in an AP class does look better than an A in a regular class.

I didn't take AP English at my school- we have a placement test, and I didn't make it in. So basically I took regular English these last two years, and I still got into a good college for early decision.
