<p>for the past 3 years ive managed only getting 2 bs on my record
this year im taking 4 aps (english, environment, human geography, and calc) the rest of my classes i have As in, but in ap english i got a C+
my teacher is insane, and no matter how hard i try i cant get anything higher than a c on an essay (my last essay i got a 65 which was depressing)
anyway im worried if this will hurt me in the college process- i fought my principal putting me in the class cuz i was afraid this would happen but she said it would help me for my freshman year in college
so should i drop, will this hurt my chances in getting in anywhere?</p>
<p>Does it show on your record if you drop?
It also depends on how many APs are offered at your school--will it still be considered a rigorous schedule if you are taking 3 APs as opposed to 4?
If the answers to the above questions are no and yes respectively, then I say drop it.
If not, then I say you have a tough decision to make.</p>
<p>My d just faced this dilemma in math. Her counselor advised against the drop from an honors math class senior year. Gc felt colleges would not consider it a move in the right direction.</p>
<p>"i fought my principal putting me in the class cuz i was afraid this would happen but she said it would help me for my freshman year in college"</p>
<p>You were right about the grade being affected. I would say drop back into Honors level if it is available. You can take everyday Freshman Composition (or whatever it's called at your college) when you get there.</p>
