should i drop ap stat?

I don't really know why i am even taking this bs class. The class is easy and all and it would def. boost my gpa up but it really won't help me at all cause i am a senior. I plan on applying to penn state/rutgers nb/umiami/tufts and to be honest i don't think they would care much if i dropped ap stat. On top of that, once i drop ap stat, i can switch ap calc to my stat period and have my last 2 periods off so i will be done with school at one o'clock. it would be awesome! Is there any reason why i need stat for college? I was originally taking 6 AP's in school but i dropped 3 of them and i wanna drop this one also.

I have enough credits to grad high school also.

Bump 1 have till Friday to decide if I wanna drop before it hits my transcript

Just so you know, dropping 4 APs looks horrible.

Nope. You might as well take it if it’s easy.

Last year we had ONE person pass the AP Stats exam.

I dropped stats too ayyy!!

@tizzy26: dropping 4 ap’s doesn’t look horrible at all since i dropped it before it showed up on my transcript so in reality i never took the class.

If you plan on having two periods off, you better be doing something very constructive with that extra time (ie job, volunteer, etc). Colleges don’t like to see missing periods without any explanation other than “I just wanted to be done at 1.”

I wish I could drop AP Stats–this is the first year my school is offering it, and the only teacher is the same teacher who teaches the math with support classes. It’s horrible, but we only had enough kids taking it for one class, so we aren’t allowed to switch out.

If it’s easy for you, you may as well just go ahead and take it: it is still an AP, after all, and it will still look good to colleges, even if you aren’t being challenged. Besides, romanigypsyeyes is right, it’ll look lazy to just have random missing periods with no explanation, and that’s really the last thing any college wants to see.
