Should I drop Calculus BC AP?

So here's the deal. I have been in school for 6 weeks and currently have a 70.0%. I have dropped a total of 8.6% in a matter for two weeks. Will it go any higher anytime soon? I doubt it. So I'm going into the D range. I'm struggling and have no possible way for me to get a tutor.

This is going to hurt me in the long run. I just know it. I struggled through Calculus AB AP as a junior and got a 3 on the AP exam.

I can drop Calculus BC AP and earn a gpa of 4.0 unweighted (because then I'll spend more time on my other classes and I'm sure I can keep the As I have in those classes) or keep Calculus BC AP and get a 3.6 or even a 3.3 gpa. If I get the 4.0 gpa in both semester then I can average out my gpa now and will bring it up to around 3.7 gpa.

So what should I do? I'm taking Statistics AP right now too. If I drop it, it won't show up on my transcript. My GPA will get higher but then my courseload will seem easy. Does UCSD look a lot at math? My major is psychology.

Someone help me!

What are your other classes?

Either way, you should drop it. You obviously don't like it and you have plenty of math classes.

You can still drop classes halfway into the semester? Wow.

But before I say you should drop it, what is your intended major?

Well obviously he can drop that class, he doesn't need any more math.

I'd say drop it, Calc I is the requirement for an associate's degree anyways, no?

Drop it. UCSD isn't THAT hard to get into, so don't worry about it.

I sadly dropped that course to take AP Calculus AB today. BC is way too hardcore for me. But at least now I'll be happier :-)

Actually, I'm thinking of doing that tomorrow. I'm only a junior and I'm not going into maths & sciences, so... Stanford won't mind, right?

^ Stanford, maybe. UCSD not really.

I doubt any college would mind... If you're going for math you'll take it eventually.
