Should I drop Classical Mechanics?

Hi. I’m a current student attending a community college and I find myself feel really unprepared for the class. The last time I took a Physics class was in my junior year of high school (2017), so I’ve forgotten everything including how metric system units works in general.

I also have a hard time applying the concepts I’m expected to learn by myself. For instance, I understand how average velocity, average speed, and displacement works, but fail to apply it for problem solving. My instructor advised us not to use solution manuals so I can’t look at one to get an idea how I am supposed to approach problems.

I’m considering to drop this class because it makes me feel unprepared, but there is a chance it is not as daunting as it seemed to be.

Try khan academy videos or get a book with practice problems. Go to your professors office hours and ask questions. Maybe get a tutor
