So right now I am in my senior year of high school. And I am taking an ONLINE AP Calculus even though I was nowhere near prepared to take this course. I managed to barely pull off an 81 first quarter, but I literally have no idea what I am doing. I have tried contacting my teachers for help with it, watched informational videos and I still just can't get the hold of it. A lot of it is to do with that its an online course, and I really don't like the format of online courses (normal calculus was not available at my school).
I hate to sound negative, but I know for a fact that I am not going to pass the AP exam at the end of the year, and probably not the midterm. So, I will have to take calculus again freshman year of college anyways.
I have always been an honor roll/high honor roll student throughout high school, and I am currently ranked #2 in my class. My question is should I drop this course, for the sake of me? It is making my life SO stressful, and I feel like its a waste of time to take it at this time.
I plan to go into a major around Cyber-security/Criminal Justice/Counter-terrorism.
The colleges I plan on applying to are: Champlain College, Castleton College, Norwich University and Tiffin University.
As of now people are saying, and I feel like a lot of these colleges I will get into.
So again, should I drop the course for the sake of me? How bad will it look to colleges, if I drop the course 1/2 way through the year?

Are you taking another math class in addition? Most schools will want to see 4 years of math. Is there another option to take in its place or do you already have a full load? If you are taking another math class and a full load, and this was an additional optional class, then drop it. On the other hand, if you need a math class this year, try to keep it. Have you looked into getting a tutor to help? This is a hard subject to learn online in my opinion, especially if you don’t have a strong math background.

I am pretty sure I already have 4 math Credits, I took Algebra 2 Honors Freshman Year, Geometry Sophmore Year and Pre-Calc Junior Year. But I also took drafting Sophmore Year, which I am pretty sure counted as a math credit. I currently have a full load with ap calc, because I use 2, 1 hour blocks for that course. But if I drop it I will pick up a different online course which I will use those 2 blocks for.

Have you tried watching Patrickjmt on youtube (he is great at helping with math)?

I have tried getting help from teachers and videos online, I am beyond help right now.
