Should I drop my course?

So I decided to take an EMT-B course this summer to raise up my gpa. I haven't started freshman year yet but I have about 21 semester hours through a community college (non-essential classes like Art History, English, US History, Psychology, Government). Let's just say that last semester I slacked off and my 3.8 GPA is now a 3.3. I thought this EMT class would be a blow off, but it is so intense. My program has a NREMT first time pass rate of over 95%. The national average is like 50%. My EMT professor and coordinator said I was doing excellent, but how is a B excellent? I'm slightly embarrassed. I have the highest grade out of the entire EMT program (about 100 students). My current grade is an 86. The average grade is a 72. I really can NOT afford another B on my transcript so I'm thinking about dropping the class. I will be going to Emory in the fall and the EMT-I program there has no pre-req's so either way I'll be starting from ground zero if I finish the course or if I drop it. What do you think? It is possible for me to raise it up 4 points...I guess...but I don't want to count on it then ending up with a B.

Also, will this transcript matter GREATLY to medical schools? I took all of these classes in high school, I know they will count but will they make or break it for me? Thanks.
