I'm a sophmore taking an anatomy class which isn't a required class and am about to get a c in it. The very highest i could get is probably a b- (2.67). I was wondering if i should just drop it because i don't want to wreck my gpa (3.7 science and overall). I don't really plan on retaking anatomy but i might in my senior year. Also i'm only taking on 3 classes and a lab this semester (12 credits) but if i drop this it will go down to 2 classes and a lab...wondering if that makes it look worse. (current classes are orgo1 phys1 and lab and human anatomy with lab)

You would likely lose financial aid if you dropped it. Furthermore, having 12 units and 1 of 3 classes be a W looks pretty bad. Honestly, this semester is sort of looking bad all-around. Normally, I’d say take the W (so as to save your GPA), but in this case, I’d say get your butt in gear and pull two As and a B, no matter what it takes.
