Should I drop spanish in my sophomore year and drop orchestra in my freshmen year?

Agreed. It boggles my mind that schools even give students the option to skip lunch. Our kids lunch break is only 30 minutes as well. Food in the band room would also be a huge no. I don’t think its healthy to teach kids to prioritize another class over a lunch break at that age. Kids come in before school and stay after school, but skipping lunch completely to take yet another elective seems “wrong”.
I mean, I wish my kid had all the time in the world to explore every interest they have but do kids really need to try it all in high school? I’m in my 40’s and still trying and doing new things all the time.
And don’t even get me started on kids having to think that if they don’t take some magical courses in some magical sequence that they somehow won’t get into a good college or get merit money.
