Should I email Cornell about me submitting the application at 11:59?

So I decided to do a last minute revision on my essay for Cornell. It was literally just a one-word substitution so I am a bit frustrated that I let it make me late. Anyway, I submitted my application at 11:59 by my computer’s clock. The writing supplement started submission at 11:59 and ended submission at 12am.

When I submitted the writing supplement the common app said something about the deadline but unfortunately I was in super stressed click mode so I didn’t read it.

Much to my dismay Common App lists them both as being turned in on January 3rd. So I failed.

How doomed am I?

Should I contact Cornell admissions to check how doomed I am or pretend like nothing happened?

Will they let me know if they are judging me for turning it in this late? Or will it just be a silent rejection?

No. They don’t check timestamps.

@hhjjlala so I am good because they dont check timestamps? Or am I not good because they wouldn’t see that it was only one minute late?

It is worth noting that the confirmation of submission for both the application and the writing supplement arrived in my email inbox with a timestamp of 11:59.

You’re overthinking this. You’re fine.

I read somewhere on here that someone turned in their Stanford App an hour late, and they were accepted

I’ve seen apps submitted days late for my Ivy alma mater – and they were processed normally. Chill

Calm down, you’re fine.
