Should I email my interviewer to let her know that I was accepted?

I always assumed that the admissions office told an interviewer who was accepted (out of the people he/she interviewed), but I just came across a post saying you should email your interviewer once you’ve been accepted. I’m pretty sure I’ll be attending Georgetown, but my interview was all the way back in October so I don’t know if it would be weird to email her or not? I’m not really sure what the proper etiquette is, so any thoughts would be appreciated  Thanks!

That would be a very nice gesture! I’m sure your interviewer would be delighted to know that you remember her, and that Georgetown is at the top of your list.

@happymomof1 Thank you so much! I think I will email her

I would email once you make your final decision. That way you can tell her you are so excited to be attending. Would be strange to send an email and then pick another school

I agree with @wisteria100 I would email only if you decide to attend.

Definitely! That’s what I meant to imply. Thanks for all the suggestions
