my school doesnt have an astronomy club and im very interested at this science, therefore i want to try to establish this club.however,im a junior now and i have sat,ap,sat II,lots of hw,etc.. im afraid that i wont have enough time to make this club really organizedddd .... do you think i should give up or still try to found this club on my own (or with my friendssss)???

Start it with your friends if you can. Make sure there is enough interest though before you start, because it's not worth it if it's like you and 2 other people.

Be careful though. You MUST make time for the club, and if you're concerned that you won't have time then be VERY cautious.

Yes, you should establish your own club; colleges love that kind of thing.
Try asking a couple of friends to join so you can split up the work and have less stress. Also the club meetings should be at lunch so you don't have to meet after school. -Mabey I should start my own club!! LOL

^ Many schools don't let you meet at lunch.

You should start your own club with your friends. I agree with all the previous comments that the only thing, though, is that if you want to make it a serious club you have to choose your friends carefully, so that if you cant handle it all by yourself, you at least have a trustworthy friend you know will help you out.

Talk to friends and classmates and see if they're interested, and if you can find about four or five others, definitely go for it.
Also, make sure you have a teacher who understands your situation and your possible lack of attendance. A friend works too.

Do it, but don't get overly ambitious. (I'm in your same situation sort of, my club just has to be approved). Especially if you have to start the founding process now, it usually takes a little time to found one through a school. My club personally is basically just getting members its first year and doing a few things. Next year we will start being a lot more active once we know who's in and what we can do. I suggest that just getting the thing started should be your goal for this year.
