Is it worth the $70 to even apply? My stats are..

GPA: 3.0(will be going up a bit after this semester)
SAT I(new): Math- 500, Critical Reading(old verbal)-510, Writing- 460
I have 5 hours of community service done at the local library
Out of state(i live in NY)

I wouldn't bother, I think your SAT's will leave you out, and your GPA is below the UConn average. You're better off using $70 on two other applications.

I've seen people with lower stats get in. If you really want to go here (to UCONN) then send it in. If not then don't. Its up to you how much you want to get in.

I will be applying, it's just that I don't think i have a chance. Im out of state so it is even harder, and my SAT scores and GPA are low compaired to UConns standards.

If you show interest UConn will bend things. If you have a good essay or recommendations it helps a lot. Show interest and they will admit you hopefully. I've seen out of staters get in with both low and high scores.
