employed at father's business and work 15+ hours weekly
4 yr football player: state champions
wrestling and track</p>

<p>Ap classes: european history, US history, Calculus AB, studio art, spanish
IB classes: economics, english, biology, math, world history</p>

<p>took classes at college for marketing and public speaking
please tell me my chances of getting in, thanx</p>

<p>i got 2 C's first semester of my Junior year
Ap calculus and IB economics
Im an NHS scholar</p>

<p>The GPA is kinda low, so Cal might be a reach. The rest are pretty good. So probably a slight reach.</p>

<p>In short, apply if you find that Cal is what you want. =)</p>

<p>oh nice, we ran track against you guys. I'm from Pasadena La Salle, you were in a higher division, but we saw you @ CIF and Carpinteria. Didn't see your throwers though, not sure if you had a big throws program</p>

<p>definitely apply... take rigorous classes and get good grades 1st semester senior year in case you get the supplemental to complete... good luck.</p>

<p>Absolutely apply. The only absolute "no" we ever get is when we don't try. You have a good shot.</p>

<p>You know if you you bring up your grades a bit 2nd semester and get good AP/IB scores I think you have an excellent chance especially if you're doing something in L&S</p>

<p>If you want a strong chance, bump the Math II up to 800, bring the SAT up by 100 points, take another SAT II because Lit is a killer and they don't care which tests you take unless you're applying to the College of Engineering, and emphasize your work experience and interest in international affairs in your essays.</p>

<p>My opinion, after looking at who got which honors and acceptances:
GPA > SAT > Awards > Work Experience = Essays > Clubs
If you can bring up your SAT and have a few awards to validate your club work, then I think you'll be a strong candidate.</p>
