Should I even bother applying? :( chance me please

weighted GPA: 3.45
unweighted GPA: 2.7

SAT: 2020 (700 reading, 630 math, 690 writing)

I would be applying for Business Administration. Looking at the business school, the average admitted gpa was about 3.17 (seems low???), average math was 615, average reading was 575, and average ACT composite was 27.

President of National Technical Honor Society, DECA competitor (3rd in district, state finalist for two events, third in state for one event, qualified to compete internationally), founded a service club, member of NHS, member of town teen council, AP scholar.

I’m a daughter of a single mother. I might have possible family related compelling back story? I’m an Indian female.

My mother made around 250k last year so I don’t think I would be eligible for aid. However, she’s made about 50k a year until her salary started going up around three years ago.

So do I even have a shot or should I not waste my money applying?

Looks like the average GPA for Kogod applicants was 3.17; the average for admits was 3.81 and the average for enrolled students was 3.73. These are usually weighted GPAs, though.

Average test scores for admits to Kogod were 1268 (CR+M) or 28 ACT.

You may as well apply. Note that American places considerable emphasis on demonstrated interest, so demonstrate. (Do the online chats, etc.)

Yeah you should apply. Decent extra curriculars, below average GPA, above average test score. I’m pretty sure you’ll get in as long as your essay is not terrible.

I actually have a friend here who got in with a 2.something GPA and low SAT, decent extra curriculars.

Thank you guys so much. This gives me a lot of hope.
